NORMS THAT DON'T EXIST ANYMORE

There are some norms that don't exist anymore. Children use to be seen and not heard. When they broke rules they were spanked with a stick. Then the government made a law against hurting people. That is when those social norms that have been abandoned.

What are social norms exactly?

Social norms help understand humans behavior. Think about things like saying exuse me when you burp, you have just thought about a social norm.Not every group does not have the same norms. Some religions only allow faces to be shown. That is a social norm for that group. Another example is my mom nagging me all the time. That is a social norm in my family.
